AIMS & OBJECTIVES
The aim of our service is to provide a safe and homely environment that promotes empowerment, independence and choice, whilst enhancing individual’s daily living skills and enabling opportunities to move on to an unsupported setting where possible. Our goal is by the time our young people leave us, they’ll be able to become a positive contributor to society and we would have aided in their transition to independence and adulthood.
- To develop and implement person centred pathway support packages for all young people.
- To promote safety by ensuring each young person has a holistic risk assessment, that is regularly reviewed.
- To enable young people to meet their own health and emotional needs.
- To promote and maintain positive relationships that benefits the young person; enabling them to develop their identity, self-respect and care for their own well-being.
- To promote affective learning, education and training; ensuring resources and support are available.
- To enable the young person to develop skills to communicate and interact with others and to integrate and contribute to the community in a positive manner.
- To work in partnership with parents, relevant adults, education, health and other professionals to ensure the young person is enabled to maximise their potential.
- To promote equality and an atmosphere of trust and respect.
- To enable the young person to be empowered to make choices and decisions in all areas of their lives.
