Statement of Purpose
About us
Beyond Vision Transitions has been established by experienced professionals, qualified in social care, rehabilitation, quality assurance and education . BVT is a high-quality supported living service for vulnerable looked after young people aged 16+. We provide supported accommodation with floating support for care leavers and highly independent 17.5 year olds, preparing to leave care, custody or are homeless.
We work in partnership with local authorities to develop tailored packages of support to meet the individual needs of each young person. We specialise in supporting young people with complex/or challenging need. We believe young people feel safe and secure, get the right help from skilled committed staff they have an opportunity to explore themselves and develop a greater understanding if their behaviours and abilities to break the cycle of negative behaviours to transform their lives and reach their potential.
BVT assesses all children to ensure the home can meet their emotional, behavioural and educational needs. Our care is child-centred and therapeutic to enable young people to develop the skills to live safely in the wider community. We offer a safe, secure and supportive environment with consistent boundaries.
Our vision is to ensure genuine role model behaviour in the support workers employed to work in the home and ensure that they have all the necessary skills and knowledge to support and guide children and young people by developing sound, professional, trusting relationships. Through our integrated care model, we listen to young people and encourage their care and collaboration between care, therapy and education. The interests of the child remain at the centre of our care planning.
WHAT WE PROVIDE
At Beyond Vision Transitions we provide the following services:
A SUPPORTED HOME
Beyond Vision Transitions accepts both emergency and planned placements. BVT assesses all children to ensure the home can meet their emotional, behavioural and educational needs. Our care is child-centred to enable young people to develop the skills to live safely in the wider community. We offer a safe, secure, and supportive environment with consistent boundaries. During admission, the care team will identify areas of need concerning therapeutic, culture, language and religious observance. We place great emphasis on education and on supporting children to achieve in this vitally important area.
The aim of our home is to provide a safe environment that helps children and young people to heal from past trauma. The home promotes empowerment, independence and choice, whilst enhancing individual’s daily living skills and preparing the child as they grow to adulthood.


MODERN LIVING FACILTIES
We ensure that our floating support homes are fully equipped to meet the requirements of all young people, including on-site laundry facilities. All living areas, communal areas and bedrooms will be inspected on a regular basis to ensure home rules are being complied with. We provide floating support staffing for all needs including basic activities i.e. cooking and cleaning and support on a one to one basis. Ensure all accommodation needs are met in regards to health and safety standards and recommended environmental health standards, including the installation of mains smoke alarms, fire regulated furnishings and safety locks.
1-1 KEY WORK SUPPORT
We offer 1-1 support to young people that are looked after to overcome all difficulties they have faced. The aim of our service is to provide a safe and homely environment that promotes empowerment, independence and choice, whilst enhancing individual’s daily living skills and enabling opportunities to move on to an unsupported setting where possible. Our goal is by the time our young people leave us, they’ll be able to become a positive contributor to society and we would have aided in their transition to independence and adulthood.




MENTORING & LIFE SKILLS
When every day activities and thoughts become too difficult to manage by ourselves, we often need our support network to chip in. Beyond Vision Transitions provides the positive reinforcement, life coaching, mentoring schemes and proactive engagement required to re-direct young people into their future paths.
OUTREACH SUPPORT
Once young people have transitioned to adulthood; we also provide outreach support. There’s always something exciting to look forward to at Beyond Vision Transitions, even when you turn 18. We’re passionate about providing a myriad of opportunities for our young people to create new achievements and milestones via our services.
ASSISTANCE & ADVICE RE: EDUCATION, WORK AND TRAINING.
At Beyond Vision Transitions education and employment is paramount to us. We'll create goals with our young people to ensure they are able to achieve their full potential. Our vision is to ensure proper, solid role models in the carers employed to work in the home and ensure that they have all the necessary skills and knowledge to support and guide children and young people by developing sound, professional, trusting relationships. The interests of the child remain at the centre of our care planning.
